About us

League Uncovered is an independent rugby league fanzine, written by supporters, for supporters — published from Yorkshire and covering every corner of the game.

"Rugby league deserves better coverage. So we're building it ourselves."

League Uncovered started the way most good fanzines do: two fans, too many opinions, and a frustration that the greatest game wasn't getting the coverage it deserved. Jamie and Josh run the whole show — editing, writing, designing and selling the thing between work, matchdays and the school run.

We're not a corporation, a clickbait farm or a club PR channel. We're the independent voice of the terraces: newsprint aesthetics, proper journalism, and an unashamed love of rugby league at every level — from Super League Grand Finals to a wet Tuesday in the Championship.

Everything we publish lives at leagueuncovered.co.uk. Buy an issue, read the previews free, and if you like what we're doing, tell your mates in the stands. That's how fanzines grow.

What we'll be doing

Digital issues

Full-length fanzine issues

Proper, old-school fanzine issues you read on any phone, tablet or computer — long reads, big personalities, sharp opinion. Issue 1, The State of the Game, is our 32-page review of the 2026 season, and the Annuals go deeper still.

Every league

Season reviews with the numbers to back them up

Super League, the Championship, the women's game, the NRL, State of Origin and the World Cup — league tables, standout fixtures, player stats and awards for all of them, not just the divisions the papers bother with.

The RL wire

Rugby league news, every day

We read the wires so you don't have to. Stories from across the game land on our news desk daily, and the best of them grow into commissions, features and editorials.

Your words

A platform for supporters

Letters, reviews, columns and pitches from the terraces. If you've got something to say about rugby league, we want to print it — from matchday verdicts to a season-ticket rant.

In print, soon

Collectors' editions

Digital first — but the Annuals are built to be collected. Print editions and bundles are on the bench, waiting for the whistle.
